Watermark history

Watermark was founded by John Woodward in 2004 where he was the sole Advisor and focused on investment management and employee benefits. The firm name was born from its original location near Watermark Country Club in Cascade MI. In 2010 Watermark moved its headquarters to Grandville MI where they still serve clients today. In 2012 Zac Woodward joined Watermark as a Financial Advisor expanding the team into the business planning market. Today Watermark focuses its efforts on Financial Planning, Retirement Plan Services, and Business Consulting. In 2023 the name was changed to Watermark Advisory Group to better align with the current and future direction of the firm. They continue to grow the firm by adding specialized Financial Advisors and staff to offer clients a consistent and positive experience for generations to come.
